HerSpace ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Ayesha Akhtar and her team. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy — especially because many of you share vulnerable parts of your lives here.

1. What We Collect

• Email address — for account creation and communications.
• Pseudonym — auto-generated on signup; never tied to your real name publicly.
• Posts & Echo entries — content you share voluntarily in the community or Echo Box.
• Messages — direct messages between members are stored encrypted.
• Subscription data — processed through Apple/Google; we never see your card details.
• Device information — OS version, device type, for app stability only.

2. What We Never Collect

• Your real name (unless you choose to share it)
• Your location
• Biometric data
• Contacts or photos (unless you explicitly share them)
• Browsing history outside HerSpace

3. How We Use Your Data

• To operate and improve the HerSpace platform
• To match you with Echo Box peers (same-boat & survivors)
• To route Lighthouse Flares to mentors
• To send you transactional emails (verification, password reset)
• To detect and remove harmful content via AI moderation

4. AI Moderation

Content you post may be processed by OpenAI's moderation API to ensure the safety of our community. This processing is automated and no human reads your content for moderation purposes unless it is flagged.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share only with:

• Supabase — real-time infrastructure (EU/US servers)
• Neon — database hosting
• OpenAI — content moderation only
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Apple / Google — subscription processing

6. Data Retention

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. All personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where required by law.

7. Children

HerSpace is intended for women aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights
